London's first-ever comprehensive survey of contemporary art from Sri
Lanka, this major exhibition brought together a wide range of works from
Sri lanka, and aimed to open up to UK audiences some of the many different
aspects currently contributing to the vibrant artistic life of the island. |

4th September -18th October, 2003 The
October Gallery presented Radiant
Transmission, a multifaceted exhibition of contemporary masterpieces
of Tibetan Buddhist Art. this exhibition proved
to be the first major exhibition
of modern Tantric art ever to be held in the UK, and contained works in
the traditional thangkha style by contemporary artists from, Tibet,
India, Mongolia and the U.K. A recent film on ancient Cham dance
was also shown.

11th December, 2003 -14th February, 2004 The October Gallery ends the 2003
season with an exhibition of new paintings - including large-scale panel
pieces - by the well-known Japanese artist, Kenji Yoshida. This was
Yoshida's third solo show at the October Gallery. |
